The terms and conditions for using PowerGut's gut health education and wellness platform.

1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using PowerGut (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use this Service.
By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 16 years old and have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.
If you are under 18, you may only use the Service with the consent of a parent or guardian.
3. Educational Purpose Only – No Medical Advice

What This Means:
- All content (articles, insights, recommendations, AI-generated responses) is for informational purposes only
- The Service is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment

- Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read on the Service
- If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your GP, NHS 111, or 999 immediately
Test Results:
- Home test results (omega-3, vitamin D, microbiome) are for wellness tracking purposes only
- Results do not constitute a medical diagnosis
- Share results with your GP before making any health changes
PowerGut is not responsible for any health decisions you make based on the Service. Use the Service at your own risk.
4. Account Registration
To access certain features, you must create an account.
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Keep your password confidential and secure
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
- You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
Account Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
5. Data Protection and Privacy

6. User Content
Your Content: You are responsible for any content you submit, post, or display on the Service ("User Content"), including health logs, symptoms, and personal information.
License to PowerGut: By submitting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and process that content solely to provide the Service to you.
Prohibited Content: You agree not to post User Content that:
- Is false, inaccurate, or misleading
- Infringes on anyone's intellectual property rights
- Contains harmful, threatening, abusive, or harassing material
- Promotes illegal activities or self-harm
We reserve the right to remove any User Content at our sole discretion.
7. AI-Powered Features
The Service uses artificial intelligence (AI) to generate personalised health insights and recommendations.
Important Limitations:
- AI insights are not medical advice and may not always be accurate
- AI responses are generated based on patterns in your data and general health information
- Always verify AI recommendations with a qualified healthcare professional
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content
Your Responsibility: You are solely responsible for how you use AI-generated insights. Do not make health decisions based solely on AI recommendations without consulting a GP or qualified health provider.
8. Intellectual Property
Our Content: All content on the Service (excluding User Content) is owned by PowerGut or its licensors, including:
- Articles, recipes, and educational materials
- Logos, branding, and trademarks
- Software, code, and algorithms
- AI models and training data
Limited License: You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.
Prohibited Uses: You may not:
- Copy, reproduce, or distribute any content without permission
- Use content for commercial purposes
- Scrape, mine, or systematically extract data from the Service
- Reverse engineer or attempt to access the source code of the Service
9. Third-Party Services
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services (e.g., test kit providers, therapy services).
Not Endorsed: We do not endorse, control, or assume responsibility for any third-party services.
Your Use: Your interactions with third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for any harm or losses arising from your use of third-party services.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
No Warranties: The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- Content is accurate, complete, or up-to-date
- AI insights are correct or suitable for your situation
Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, PowerGut shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, data, business, or goodwill
- Personal injury or property damage resulting from use of the Service
- Any conduct or content of third parties
Maximum Liability: Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed £100 (or the amount you paid to PowerGut in the last 12 months, if any).
Exceptions: Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Any other liability that cannot be excluded by law
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PowerGut, its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of another party
- Your User Content
12. Termination
By You: You may stop using the Service at any time. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us or using the GDPR Request form.
By Us: We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice, for any reason, including:
- Violation of these Terms
- Conduct harmful to other users or the Service
- Security or technical issues
Effect of Termination: Upon termination:
- Your right to use the Service immediately ceases
- We may delete your account and associated data (subject to our Privacy Notice)
- Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive
13. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time at our sole discretion.
How We Notify You:
